Daredevil #202 features a phenomenal Bob Layton cover!
Overstreet 2023 NM- 9.2 value = $6.
According to the CGC Census Report as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, out of a total of 76 Universal copies graded, 41 copies were graded in 9.8 with 0 copies graded higher!
With these statistics in mind, this represents a rarity factor of 53.95% of the total population.

Published in January of 1984, Daredevil #202 features a beautiful and unique Bob Layton cover! Daredevil is facing off against one of the “Savages,” which is set against a jet-black background that really makes the bright red, green, and yellow colors POP!
Furthermore, you hardly ever see the rectangular area located on the bottom left-hand corner, where the UPC Barcode or Direct Edition artwork is displayed, become a text box!
With that said, for “Assistant Editor’s Month,” they got creative and wrote a “Surgeon General’s Warning” spin-off statement:
WARNING: SURGEONS HAVE GENERALLY DETERMINED THAT ASSISTANT EDITOR’S MONTH IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH!
They even replaced the Daredevil logo in the upper left-hand corner with an image of the Assistant Editor, coupled with a comic dialogue bubble that reads:
BOY, THAT’S SCARY!
You also gotta love the very cool Parker Brother’s Popeye Atari Video Game ad on the back cover, where Popeye advises:
YA DOESN’T GETS MUSKLES LIKE THESE DOIN AEROBIXS, MATE.
In closing, I purchased this PERFECTLY WRAPPED & CENTERED copy from factorymuscle (via eBay) in May of 2022! I am super proud to own this immaculate copy and look forward to watching it appreciate each year!
