However, this is the much RARER Newsstand Edition Variant, which means that you can estimate that ONLY 2-4% of all 9.8s are Newsstand Edition copies!

Published in August of 1988, the legendary John Romita Jr. (penciller) & Al Williamson (inker) rendered an impressive Daredevil Vs. the Punisher battle cover!
Featured boldly in the middle of the cover in an epic face-to-face showdown, Daredevil clearly shows no signs of fear, as he confronts a pistol gripping Punisher with only his two clenched fists! With an intricate layout of the New York City skyline positioned underneath them, and the Original Twin Towers standing gloriously in the middle, sets the stage in a larger-than-life battle between two of NYC’s most valuable crime-fighting vigilantes determined to take each other out!
To recap, in June of 1982 (Daredevil #183), Frank Miller ushered in the historical 1st meeting of Daredevil & the Punisher!
In addition, Daredevil #257 features a crossover storyline with Punisher #10, which was also published in August of 1988!
Furthermore, the Punisher, played by actor Jon Bernthal, made his introductory appearance on the critically acclaimed Marvel Daredevil Streaming Series (2015-2018)! He was introduced in Season 2, and just like this cover suggests, the two powerhouses clashed several times before they became allies!
Therefore, this badass John Romita Jr. Copper Age cover is a MUST-HAVE for any Daredevil or Punisher fan and/or collector!
In closing, I purchased this PERFECTLY WRAPPED & CENTERED Newsstand Edition Variant copy from Mr. Rod “RJ” Rasich / pickingandpunching (via Instagram) in December of 2022! I am super proud to own this immaculate copy and look forward to watching it appreciate each year!
