The penultimate issue in the series sees the death of Kingdok and The Hooded One as Lucius Down pushes her out of the way before she can land her strike on Gran’ma Ben. Lucius dies as a result but Thorn and Fone were able to touch the Crown of Horns and bring an end to Briar.
There’s an interesting “Congratulations!” from Jeff to Dave Sim in the Bone-a-fides section for shipping the final issue of Cerebus after 300 issues. These two had an infamous falling out but it was personal and not professional. Interesting timing as well since #55 is just around the corner. This was the final Bone-a-fides section in the series.
