Owner's Description
x4 signed by Ed Brubaker, Steve Epting, Butch Guice and Mike Perkins. Big thanks goes out to Will Wong, Kris Moore and Carlos Camara for helping me to be able to get this one done.
With the shocking ending of the previous issue, SHIELD has been effectively discredited, and Senator Gordon Wright is revealed to be acting out on behalf of the Red Skull and Doctor Faustus.
Rioting situations escalate around the country, and we see that it's even being setup by the Kronas Corporation! Bucky Cap is at a riot which is being guarded by Kronas Corp. associated troops which he has to subdue. Here is some very solid action in the book.
Meanwhile this is occuring, we see the Red Skull awaiting Faustus' return, and the two bask in their current wickedness...
Bucky Cap with the Black Widow in his ear (so to speak), is led towards the bigger target - Sin and the Serpent Squad!
On the very next page, final moment of the issue as we see Sharon Carter strapped to a table who is met with Arnim Zola and she thinks ". . . how long did you really think you could hide this pregnancy?"
Personal Note:
This is the first issue in the series where we are treated to Butch Guice's full interior art. This is yet another artist whose art seamlessly blends in with the style of the series. Ed Brubaker has certainly amassed a large pool of excellent talent for this series in be able to use people such as Mike Perkins, Michael Lark, Frank D'Armata and now Butch Guice who is a long time friend of Steve Epting from their previous works together.
My feelings about the series since the death of Steve Rogers are very positive. Every page and every panel offer hints at what's coming and it's a true pleasure to read. Each issue is able to somehow just get better and better.
Also pictured is my reading copy signed by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting.
