Owner's Description
One of two different negative editions of issue 10 - this is 10E, a 1:10 ratio cover by Billy Tan (the other is a 1:20 ratio by Benitez). I did buy cover 10A off the rack when it came out, it being a dynamic cover. Some of the negative cover editions end up being rather bland compared to the original art - but this one holds up nicely. It mist be the dynamic pose, combined with the shadowy details of Red Sonja's mount. While I do like the pose for the drama - the blow that Sonja is about to throw is an exceptionally dangerous maneuver for the horse, as a miss or any of a variety of light parries can carry that blow through into the side of the horse's head. Even if that doesn't severely injure the horse, it will piss it off - and you will end up with the ride of your life.
Overall? I didn't pick this negative image up from my LCS - but that could have been due to damage (looking at you Diamond distributing), or it could have been I didn't have the extra $$$ the LCS wanted for it. In any case - I'm going to call this cover a win.
