1:15 ratio cover. Renaud's renditions of Red Sonja tend to be softer than I like - and this cover image is no exception. But, he does gear her up with two massive hand weapons - a massive mace and a nasty spiked ball flail. Either one of these is going to be a two-handed weapon for me, but Sonja is a badass. Her innocent looking pose, standing astraddle the undead she defeated and armed with those, is a fabulous dichotomy of "go ahead, underestimate me" and I love it. I'm not sold on the image of Kulan Goth in the background - I mean, I know he's the bad guy - but I feel like a regular background image would look better here. Maybe Kulan Goth's castle on a mountainous crag in the background? I don't know. But something.
Overall? I must've liked it when it came out - I bought a copy raw off the shelf at my LCS.
