1:1 ratio cover. Not really my favorite cover. I understand that Mayhew was trying to capture an entire "you cannot defeat me" look - but Sonja looks thin and pale, and mostly defeated. I think if she had her sword point up, pointed at the viewer, the rest of the image would look stronger - but with her point in the dirt, it just doesn't sell strength to me. I'm weirded out by the handle of her sword too - it isn't centered on the blade. Just poor draftsmanship. I can't exactly put my finger on what it is about this overall image that I don't like - but I just don't like it.
Overall? meh.
