Owner's Description

Another Homage to Star Wars #42 sold in the U.S. in December of 1980, this Variant is commonly known as The "Tile Mosaic B", or "Shattered Edition B" of "Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters #1", from August 2021.

This book makes an absolutely beautiful presentation piece when hung on the wall next to a highly graded and encapsulated CGC copy of the original "Star Wars #42", who's classic imagery kind of started it all (although VERY FEW people can actually properly tell you that "Star Wars #42" was actually just a reprint of "Marvel Super Special #16: To Be A Jedi", and even featured reprinted Artwork by Al Williamson & Carlos Garzon, as well as a reprinted story by Archie Goodwin. And even featured a five page British Star Wars Cover Gallery.....
But still; a FANTASTIC book, by ANY MEASURE.), and also hung next to a CGC Graded and Encapsulated copy of the "Shattered Variant A", or "Tile Mosaic Variant A" (The full color edition), and two beautiful, signed copies of "Star Wars #14: The Mike Mayhew Studio Edition" and "Star Wars #14: The Mike Mayhew Studio Virgin Edition" (Both of which are also absolutely beautiful little homage pieces to the original "Star Wars #42", in their own right, as well as just absolutely beautiful works of art, on their own accord.

Particularly when one is lucky enough to have a "Virgin Variant", with just Mike Mayhew's magnificent Artwork to admire, sans any clutter on the page to distract one from his unbelievable Talant.

And the particular, above-mentioned book that this is based on (Star Wars #42 from 1980) has also spawned countless other homages, and copoes; including a very cool Purple colored 3D Mini Comic with a 3D Poster of the original cover imagery of the first Book, Keychains of copies of little slabbed and graded CGC Books of the original, little Art Pieces of similar, very small slabbed and graded CGC Books of the original, Pop-Up Action Figures that transform from a little representation of the original Book to a figure of Boba Fett when unfolded (ALL of which I am VERY proud to say that I also own), and many, many more iterations and other little homages of a very classic original, although possibly misunderstood Star Wars Book.

And this particular homage also follows "Star Wars #42" as the first appearance of Boba Fett and "The Bounty Hunters", as well as the continuation of the Comic Book Adaptation of "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" from 1980.
