Owner's Description

La Prensa seems to have acquired the publishing rights to the Amazing Spider-Man title very early on, as this copy was published the same month Marvel published Amazing Spider-Man #3. Marvel still had Amazing Spider-Man on a bi-monthly publishing schedule, while La Prensa was publishing AS every month at this time. It wouldn't take long for them to "catch-up" and eventually publish bi-weekly, facilitating the need to publish Ant-Man stories from Tales to Astonish and Avengers stories from their title. This particular copy is not only the highest graded at this writing (4/18/22), but it's the ONLY graded copy! I absolutely LOVE how La Prensa kept the "webby" logo from Amazing Spider-Man #1!!! Spider-Man is my all-time favorite comic character and I'm thrilled to have been able to add this book to my collection.
