How many of these did I buy? The first one I purchased was probably the first Signature Series copy I purchased. I won it in an auction on eBay along with issue 19. The problem was, my mail carrier, or someone in the USPS liked them more. I never saw them. Fortunately, Rich Henn had two more. Unfortunately, the cost of one was going to be more than the two I had won, including the shipping. A new phase in my collecting has begun, how could I say no. I purchased the books and I was happy. This book in the registry though, is not that one. Issue 18 and issue 19 were both off-white to white pages. This one I found, once again for a cheap price, but it was only signed by Bill Sienkiewicz.
I have since had Bill S. sign some of my copies in front of me, but I believe this is the only one of his signatures that are just B S, that of course is for his name and not for Bull $#!... well you understand.
I hated this art as a kid. I thought what happened to my comic book. How dare they ruin it. ANd the first time I met the man, I told him so.
My views have changed and now I believe it was one of the best of the run. His artwork not only appealed to me, but others, including Bagofleas who made sure a set was created. We both talked about it and he said let's create a list. I said let's do it. So after a week and a half of being busy at work I was ready to sit down and help, to which he responded, already done. It must be said his love not only matched mine, but surpassed it.
