Owner's Description
This reminds me of the Strange Tales issues Marvel brought back in the eighties. One cover separated in two for two stories. That wasn't the case here, there was only one story, and what a great story. Remember I still hated the artwork. Oh by the way, did I mention there was another first appearances in issue 22. It was minor so I don't think I''l count that as number seventeen, but I could.
What I thought was really coll, is not only did this have a story, but they were hinting at something greater. Magneto made an appearance. What was he doing here?
Cloak looks menacing while Dagger looks endearing, and while Roberto is terrified, it's Rahne's turmoil and pain that takes the cover. Bill's squiggly line signature crosses over the center barrier effortlessly, unlike many sitcoms when roommates would squabble. As we are getting close to the 25 mark, every cover but one in the New Mutants series, since i am not counting the MGN, for if I did, not only would this run on sentence get longer, but then my statement would be all except two have the back covers depicting the great video games of the eighties.
Signed by Bill Sienkiewicz on 8/13/11
Side note. That was the longest Sam Guthrie has not been on a cover. Two full issues didn't show the co Captain of the team, but don't worry he is back for issue 24.
