I took this issue from my original collection And I must have missed a flaw or two for it to attain this grade. I was thinking a 9.2...and unfortunately the reason for that was I had it in a window bag for almost five years before finally taking the plunge and adding Chris Claremont to it. The blue color tape hid the hideous defect at the top of the book. I will not make that mistake again. Fortunately the other issue I made no such mistake with.
However, the great part about this issue is who I brought to with the show, someone who patiently waited in line with me... and for me. At one point I left the line t get the autographs of David Mack.
This book was purchased during my beginning years. I didn't know anything about grading, I just wanted to have an original copy from a story I read in one of my first trade paperbacks. We all know it as the Dark Phoenix saga. 8.0 0r not... I love this book.
