Issue #17 features the Origin and first appearance of Adam Strange, along with the first appearance of Alanna. Our 8.5 is tied for second highest graded trailing a single 9.0. We acquired the book from the 9/12/2024 Heritage Auction.
2024 Update: A 9.2 came out of CGC in 2024 and was auctioned off by Heritage on 11/21/2024. While we bid on the book, we were not competitive as it sold for $84,000-and that’s before sales tax. At any rate, its appearance knocks our book into third place, but it is still top 5 in the census out of 352 graded copies, so at least that’s something. You can’t get them all.
