Hunted #13(#1) is referenced in Fredric Wertham’s “Seduction of the Innocent” (SOTI) with illustration #16 and in the text on page 42.
Illustration #16 in the SOTI contains a panel of a police officer being shot with the caption “Treating police contemptuously is a comic-book commonplace”. The panel comes the story “The Perfect Con” contained in Hunted #13(#1). In addition to illustration #16, Wertham references the same panel in the text on page 42 “In another a policeman who asks a criminal for his driving license is shot outright”.
