Owner's Description
1:15 Ratio Negative cover - and the last negative cover in the run. And as negative covers go - this is one of the better ones. As I have said before, not all of these work - but the diagonal smoke and flames behind Sonja really provide for a dynamic cover. As for Sonja herself? She's hot. She's busy straddling some half-dead frog-dude as she considers the next threat coming at her. If frog-dude is into mammals, it's probably he best view of his short life, otherwise it likely sucks. Art Adams has always been good about how he shows Sonja holding her weapons, and this cover is no different. Her hand and arm positions are correct for a strong blow, and her eye contact is intense. I can't really say anything about her stance, I've never had to step over a dead body to encounter my next foe, but I would actively avoid being in that position - your just going to trip.
Again - Art has provided Sonja with attributes that are just a wee bit large for her frame - but that is very much in the style of Frank Thorne and I respect that, even if it is a bit silly.
Overall - well, I didn't buy this from my LCS when it came out - but times were hard in 2010 and I might have had to pass on it for budgetary reasons. Now? I'd totally pick this up from the rack based on the cover alone.
