Owner's Description

I like that the signature on this book is blue ink on the blue cover... it's an interesting choice that ended up working really nicely in my opinion.

This is the Collector's Edition of the first appearance of The Man of Tomorrow. The Man of Tomorrow is later referred to as Cyborg Superman. It could have been that this was truly a resurrected Superman as his cybernetic parts seemed to line up pretty closely with the wounds the Man of Steel received at the hands of Doomsday.

The four die-cut cover books were one of the first sets within this set that I worked on gathering after I had put together the Doomsday portion of the storyline and a few others, like all printings of Adventures of Superman 500. My original Universal 9.8 copy of this book was one of four books that I got in a trade for Superman 75 and Adventures of Superman 500 Platinum Editions both graded 9.6 (both were my submissions). I added this Signature Series 9.8 to my collection and my competitive set shortly after I got the entire set all to 9.8 and above.

I included a cool Cyborg Superman figure that my Wife and I pulled straight from the pegs many years ago. This was one of those instances I wasn't in a great mood to spend money but she insisted we get them all. I'm really glad we did. I haven't tracked it much but when I do see this figure up for sale, it's usually around $175.00. Mine went straight from the box, to the pegs, and right into my collection. During years of storage these were all carefully bubble wrapped so you probably won't find many in better shape.
