Who the heck is the Gold Bug??? Well, he's kind of a thief / hit man that sprays people with gold dust that freezes them, so he's gonna need some more supplies. Where do you think he can go? That's right - ESU campus! The only catch is the gold has been radiated and GB doesn't know it. I don't think it's gonna end well for him...

Ed Hannigan did a number of cool Spidey covers, but this isn't at the top of the list. The gold stands out on the green background, but it's just.... green? The 10-speed ad at the top doesn't help much either.

Instead I'll take the time to say that the corner box character for this title has always been very cool. This title was supposed to show the more "Peter" side of Spidey which is why we get so much action at ESU and that group of friends. The Spidey with the lifted mask to see Peter's face is a great idea that goes along with the concept behind this title.

Also, as I'm posting this there's only 14 9.8's on the census! :)
