BIG issue!!! This is the first appearance of the White Tiger, aka: Hector Ayala, in comics. The White Tiger had appeared in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #19 but this is his first appearance in comics. This character has been getting a lot of run lately with is appearance in the Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney+.

The Tiger is a very important part of this title, making his first appearance here. But as the story of Peter unfolds Hector and the Tiger appear more and more in the story. He's later on fingered as Spider-Man in issue #20 and even has a backup story in a few issues around #50. This all culminates with what happens in #52 (no spoilers here!).

Currently there's another person wearing the glowing green medallion but it all started in the funny books right here!
