Limited to 999 copies. Both of the Dynamic Forces red foil covers for issue 1 have really quiet compositions. Here we just have a pondering Sonja on a throne, blade at her side, and lit by braziers. It has a very contemplative, Conan-esque feel to it - and reminds me of several Conan as King splash pages from over the decades. I think Mel Rubi does a very nice job with this cover.
Overall? It wasn't available to me at my LCS when issued - and if I had to choose, I would likely choose the Art Adams cover again, as I did the first time around - but I do think this cover is a winner and it does make me want to buy and read the book.
