The Gang War is here!!! Officially this is part 1 of a 4 part story, but unofficially this is the heart of a longer story with The Owl & Doctor Octopus! I know, you're wondering why this cover looks like it's taking place in space - with a door? They are actually at the Museum of Natural History in NYC and this is the planetarium. It seems that the Doc and the Owl, and perhaps yet another party, are all after something that will help them take over all of the city! Will Spidey let that happen? Of course not! All of this and Peter has to help Deb Whitman too? How does this fit in 22 pages?!?!?!

I totally love this Milgrom cover! The the stars everywhere, and the way the figures mix in the black is so cool. Al did a great job in general of mixing in many elements and characters all on the cover and this is no exception, as he squeaks in Doc Ock in that doorway at the bottom. The black cover makes the logo really pop too!
