The Hobgoblin is back and he's the reason that the Rhino has been goin bonkers lately - and he's just getting warmed up!
When I saw that Hobby was appearing in these issues I looked at the covers and this one stood out from the rest. It's one thing to go a different way but this takes the goblin theme to a really unique place. The colors, the 1700's font, the mirror-ish image, and don't sleep on the "238" on the right as if it was a pipe number - which was the issue number of the Hobgoblin's first appearance! Of course none if it would work if the characters weren't rendered well, which they are, maybe Spidey more so than Hobby but they both work. Even the puddle ripples force your eye down to take in the title and second character image.
