2:1 ratio cover by Nat Jones. I thought this book had 9.8 energy when I submitted it - but black covers...what do you do? Anyhow. This dark, gloomy Sonja coming out of the shadows of some underground lair with her bloody weapons out and that look on her face? Absolute cinema! Catching sight of the dead thingy in the background? Perfection. A very different style of art for me with this cover and I dig it. I know it isn't going to be to everyone's taste - but that's the beauty of this run.
As for footwork and grip? I can only see the reverse grip she has on her dagger - but she's holding that right, inasmuch as she's chosen that particular reverse grip. I wouldn't typically do that, it shortens your reach.
Overall? I like as a change of pace. Something fresh and new. Although I am pretty sure I bought Cover C by Batista from the LCS back in the day - and this was acquired shifting through back issue bins.
