This cover is all kinds of cool. Before we get into what is actually in the comic let's give some love to Ed Hannigan for his work here. Stepping right out of a Will Eisner pinup, integrating the names of out characters into the city scape is perfect. Don't sleep on the "melting" logo either! A+ job Ed!

Now, why this is an important issue - the answer is the cover! Cloak & Dagger make their 1st appearance and go on to not only become recurring characters in this title for the next 30 issues but fan favorites through the 1980's and still today! Tandy Bowen (Dagger) and Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) have kind of a 3 story arc in Spectacular Spider-Man with this being the start of the first. Later on the get a few series of their own and even a short lived TV series on Freefoem!

This is one of the more expensive books in the run, likely the top, and harder to get "nice" copies of. This one has a bit of a wrap that you can see at the bottom left corner but it isn't too bad. On many copies it's awful. This one isn't perfect but it came graded with my favorite Spidey custom label so I was extatic to add this copy to the collection.
