"Along Came a Spider". Spider-Man appearance. Banshee appearance. While attempting to find where Factor Three has taken Professor Xavier, the Banshee discovers their hidden base nestled secretly in the Swiss Alps. Upon approach, he is attacked by a robotic spider sentry that nearly paralyzes him. Injured and nearing unconsciousness, the Banshee manages to fly back to his chalet and send an incomplete message to the X-Men before passing out. Members of the villainous sect find Banshee and discover that he has warned the X-Men. They dispatch the robot spider to find out what the X-Men know. However, before it can find the X-Men, it is intercepted in a mill near the X-mansion by the amazing Spider-Man. A battle ensues and the robot is destroyed but not before garnering the attention of the X-Men. Prior to arriving at the mill, the teenage mutants were still trying to decipher the message Banshee had sent, warning them to “..beware the spider”. Seeing Spider-Man, they believe him to be the villain they seek and fight him. During the fracas, Marvel Girl is able to locate the Banshee and realize that Spider-Man is not the spider he was warning them about. She tells the others to cease their battle an return home, leaving Spider-Man alone to wonder what he has done to deserve this. Once home, Marvel Girl tells them she has found Banshee in the Alps and that if they can find him they can find Factor Three and the Professor.
