Owner's Description

I honestly have no idea what happens in this one. Never read it once. After my childhood this was one character that I honestly just couldn’t get back into. If they made every issues about Carnage or some of the other villains maybe, but as Spider-man….No. I even tried to give him a shot during the Civil War series and was ok with everything until “One More Day.” Mephisto hates marriages??? Whatever.

But the big thing here is that I am a huge fan of Sam De La Rosa. One of the first coveted comics to ever be put in a bag and board was his Venom: Lethal Protector #1 Red Foil issue. For some reason as a kid the foil told me it was going to be worth a lot of money later on…not so much. But it was a cool and iconic cover. So I asked Sam during the Dallas Comic Con to do my favorite Spider-Villain Cletus Kasady (Carnage) great job regardless of what grade CGC bequeaths upon it.

Published: November 2010

KEY ISSUE: Nope…Not even close, but it was a Blank Cover

Dan Slott story
Humberto Ramos art
Sam De La Rosa Cover

This one is about as common as you can get. There are a total of 761 graded total with 202 graded as 9.8 and to include this one 404 in 9.6. While I certainly do wish it was a higher grade this is a comic that aside from the blank cover just really isn’t for me. Although I probably will send another one of these off for another sketch and get something wild drawn on it. Humberto Ramos is actually the next artist I’m probably going to attempt to have for a commission.

Story Title: Big Time Begins!

SUMMARY:

Spider-man does stuff, people see him doing stuff, bad guys thwarted… Probably. Again one of those issues I simply bought for the Blank Cover and not the story. Maybe one day I’ll go back to being a Spider-man fan but it won’t be today, 2/8/2013, and it probably won’t be tomorrow.

PERSONAL COMMENTS:

This was my 3rd Commissioned Blank Cover comic book to date. Over all I was pleased with how it turned out. The light blue line is always my favorite part of these sketching and the added Spider hanging off the name was a cool touch to it.
