Owner's Description
How the heck is that corpse floating? That is one of the many mysteries on this cover; another being, what are the "slaying statues of Batman" for-other than apparently helping to drown/slaying the gentleman on the cover-are they similar to the Oscar but for superheros (ignoring the slaying aspect, of course)?
Ok, enough "fun." This is another cover in this run that is fantastic in big, bright neon letters. Baby, Adams and Giordano working together was comic book cover nirvanna. Like other issues in this run, I made a special effort for this issue and purchased more than my usual number of copies as the cover simply "blew me away!" Oh, and I would suggest reading this issue as I think it is a classic.
The 9.8 copy has arrived, and what a copy it is: this is the fourth 9.8 CGC graded copy of this issue thus far and it is far and away superior to at least two of those copies because, unlike those, it does not suffer from extreme cover-roll-very typical of DC 52 Page books!
(Keeper, but I'll upgrade to a CGC 9.8 when I find a copy worthy of purchase as this 9.6 copy is magnificent.)
Image #2 is of the same comic book, a place holder that will be replaced with a scan or photograph of the back cover of this book.

Denny O'Neil and Frank Robbins stories
Irv Novick, Dick Giordano, and Don Heck Art
