SO HOW MANY ARE THERE K???
This one is has only one other on ebay currently and its astronomical asking price shows one reason why I won’t be parting with this one. Currently on the Census there are a total of 22 graded with 16 graded at 9.8 and only 3 9.8 SS. This one would look amazing using a yellow Sharpie signed by cover artist Jerome Opena.
PERSONAL STORY OF HEROISM…
Did you guess what my fourth free submission was following Avengers vs. X-Men #3 Sketch... if you guessed Avengers vs. X-Men #4 you win...yay
Anyways, this is by leaps and bounds my favorite sketch cover. The Phoenix is about to engulf Thor and all he can do is look on in awe. When it came down to the submission this was the first one and originally only AvX issue I was going to send in.
Originally it was a Uncanny X-Men 141 & 142, and an Iron Fist 14. Anyone who has just read that is probably ready to smack me but honestly this was the Set I chose to make for me. I figure there is no way I will ever have enough money to do a run of Uncanny X-Men. Uncanny X-Men #1 alone would take a full year of saving and not buying comics at all and I would never want to do that.
So I wanted to stick to something I enjoyed, yet something that I was on equal ground with everyone else in order to try and obtain the number one slot.
In some small victory I did. I have the number 3 Set for Avengers vs X-Men, and 2nd for Avengers vs X-Men (Complete), and 2nd and 3rd for AVX VS. It can also be said that I did have the number 1 slot for a total of 3 weeks 2 days. But hey I take my victory's when I can get them.
As for this one yes, the cover is my favorite and is like someone who stares into the bleak oblivion and knows he cannot do anything to prevent what is to come. Point is, he still stands.
Enjoy my final free submission that I in all actuality paid for when I signed up for the account.
