Synopsis:
Matt Price is gifted with incredible psychic powers when his mother is involved in a car crash involving high voltage electric wire while she is pregnant with him. At his senior prom he is approached by a government agent who is a telepath and Matt is hired to work undercover. Nicknamed "Brain Boy," his first assignment is to travel to Xochtan, a small South American country; with Hillary Gomez, a famed classical composer, who had escaped from from Xochtan as a youth. Matt must protect Gomez and himself from Ricorta, the telepath of the dictator General Droz.

Brain Boy was one of the attempts by Dell to create new material after most of their Key licenses ended up heading to Gold Key. Interesting attempt and a crack at the super hero mold. It was never going to be big and lasted only six issues.
Brain Boy was a short-lived superhero comic published by Dell Comics in the early 1960s.
Brain Boy was Matt Price. When his mother was still pregnant with him, a car accident with an electrical tower killed his father and gave him mental powers. These power would include telepathy, levitation, and the ability to control minds. Graduating from high school, he is recruited by another telepath to work for a secret government agency, fighting against communists and other "enemies of freedom" who are using their own telepathic agents against the West. "Brain Boy" was just his nickname, and he never had any kind of costume.
The first issue was Four Color Comics #1330 in 1962, soon followed by Brain Boy #2. The last issue would be #6 in 1963. Brain Boy was created by Herb Castle and Gil Kane. Frank Springer took over the artwork for the spin-off series.
Brain Boy was mentioned, along with other superheroes such as Black Cat and the Golden Age Crimson Avenger, in Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier.
Dark Horse Comics released a hardcover archive collection at the end of 2011. Dark Horse Comics rebooted the character for their superhero line, along with Captain Midnight, Catalyst, and X.[1] The series is written by Fred Van Lente, with art by R. B. Silva, Rob Lean, Ego, and cover art by Ariel Olivetti. The first issue was published September 11, 2013.[2]
