Owner's Description
One of the best covers of the series. Seeing Namor a little angry and going all Imperius Rex on the Avengers was a cool departure from their normal we just want to fix the world vibe. Also the first time one of the Phoenix Five finally goes out and loses it on the Avengers and really on an entire nation. Also cool to see the after effects of Namor’s actions with Wakanda pretty much calling it open season on mutants as well as how both Namor and Black Panther operate as allies in the Infinity series as well as in the Illuminati New Avengers.
Lot’s of cool stuff happens in this issue and seeing Namor and Atlantis attacking this peaceful and scientifically dominant location was amazing. Still the coolest thing out of this entire series to date, Namor breaking the Red Hulks arm as if it were a stick.
PERSONAL FAVORITE LINE:
Ok it’s more than one line, but it made me laugh.
Did we win? – Spider-man
Win? – Captain America
It took all of us juat to knock him down. - Black Panther

Um… - Spider-man
It’s lines like those that make me miss the Peter Parker Spider-man and hate the Superior crap.

As with the downward trend from the AvX series following with regards to CGCing this one went down on its numbers. Currently there are 27 total that have been graded with 26 the graded at 9.8 but yet one other must find out there that was graded 9.9. As for mine while not an OAK this one is 1 of 4 that have been signed with mine specificly signed by cover artist Jim Cheung.
Story Title: Avengers vs. X-Men (Part Eight)
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
This one picks up moments after issue 7 with Namor going to town on not only the Avengers but Wakanda as well. Knowing that they are believed to be the most scientific group on the planet it is a little odd that they couldn’t do anything against Namor while he comes crushing through.
So with Lei Kung present and having opened a Mystical portal to Kung Fu land, Hope, Iron Man, Wolverine, and Lei Kung escape into it while the rest of the Avengers are pretty much screwed. They all decide to go out and fight and while getting to Namor El Capitano tells Black Panther his plan is to talk Namor down… Cause that’s intelligent… Black Panther dusts his hands with some baby powder smacks Capt. A in the face and says he’s stupid.
So they all fight and Namor beats them up easily until from what I have deduced he gave up and decided to block with his face. So it takes everyone to knock him down and right when they might be able to claim victory the other Phoenixes show-up and pee on their Cheerios.
So at this point the Phoenix Four in the air look at Namor being all pitiful and because he got his ass kicked the Phoenix wants nothing to do with him anymore and decides to go beef up the four in the sky still. Professor X puts in at the end and says some nasty things to Cyclops and Capt. America says…”We’re $%#@ed”
