Owner's Description

Nothing beats good old Dredd :-) And according to Wikipedia:

"Judge Dredd is amongst the UK's best known home-grown comic characters. So great is the character's name recognition that his name is sometimes invoked over similar issues to those explored by the comic series, such as the police state, authoritarianism and the rule of law. Judge Dredd was named the seventh greatest comic character by the British magazine Empire. In 2011 IGN ranked him 35th in the "Top 100 comic books heroes"."

This book is one of the first ever TRIPLE signed books to be authenticated by CGC, even including very scarce signatures by Alan Grant and John Wagner. So this book contains signatures from all three UK creators of the Dredd character for the first time on one book, namely Wagner, Grant & Bolland! Wagner & Grant, who created the character in the 1970s, appeared at a UK convention recently for the first time in years - and getting both their signatures required quite an effort by having the book signed on two different days!

In detail, the character Judge Joseph Dredd was created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra, although editor Pat Mills also deserves some credit for early development. The bulk of the Dredd stories were written by Wagner in collaboration with Alan Grant between 1980 and 1988. Brian Bolland was probably the most well-known artist to draw Dredd, but also made major contributions to the stories. As well as honing the look of the character and contributing to the highest-profile early storylines, Bolland created the look of two of the wider Dredd universe's most enduring characters: Judge Death (and the other three Dark Judges) and Judge Anderson.

This book is dedicated to Rick Henn for his great and kind help in aquiring this amazing book.
