Freedom Fighters are a team led by Uncle Sam. This new version was created after the Crisis of Infinite Earths collaspsed the Multiverse. Related to the All Star Squadron in their earlier career. The original team was derived of DC's take over of Quality Comics and expanded by Len Wein in JLA #107 (1973)
