Synopsis
The final issue in the series serves mostly as an epilogue to the Bone saga save for the first 16 pages. The survivors lay Lucius down to rest and the cousins say their goodbyes to Thorn & Gran’ma Ben as they begin their journey back to Boneville.

Second highest graded Signature Series book! My raw book signed by Jeff at a Chicago Comics appearance on 10/5/2013. Thanks to mschmidt for facilitating! Officially graded by CGC on November 19, 2013.
Inside The Comic
Forty-four pages of new story, four page reprint of Solstice (originally printed in the Bone Holiday Special), zero pages of ads and zero pages of letters. The inside front cover is all black where the drawing usually appears. The brief prologue is on the top left and the credits are as follows: Written and Drawn by Jeff Smith, Cover Color by Steve Hamaker. For Cartoon Books: Vijaya Iyer as Publisher, Kathleen Glosan as Production Manager, and Todd Blind for Shipping and Archiving. The issue number appears on the back cover along with the publishing date and cover price.
No Bone-a-Fides or Ads
The Bone-a-Fides were retired in the last issue and the inside back cover is nearly completely black. Only “www.boneville.com” is written at the bottom in small font. The back cover itself features a photo of Jeff inking the final page of the Bone series. He’s surrounded by shelves of Bone statues, action figures, hardcovers, and prints. You can also see the Bone lunch box & mug (description in #27) as well as a Watchmen hard cover and Lord of the Rings.

Back Cover Collectible

If you’ve read my other descriptions, you probably know exactly what I’m going to say. It’s another Crown of Horns book that I bought from paperheart and it is gorgeous IMHO. There are a couple spots that need to be pressed out but I’m not confident that the general CGC pressers can do the job. At 48 pages, it’s tied with #54 as the largest book in the series which makes it more difficult to press correctly. Unfortunately, I can’t send it to an outside presser without it losing the pure yellow Signature Series label (would become a JSA yellow & black if verified). It will sit in its current slab until policy shift from CGC.
The signature and Fone Bone head sketch were facilitated at the 2023 Heroes Con by the great Rich Henn (graded in 9/21/23).
