Dare I say it...Dare I??? After going through every Bill Cover between 18 and 31, I must say that this is the one that lays claim as my favorite. It is dark, gritty and has a sense of finality. WIll Magik kill her teammate. WIll Magma 's enraged face turn to one as innocent as a sleeping child after Illyana cuts her down. Can Sam save her? So as I dare tell you that this is indeed my favorite Bill S. cover, I now must confess, it was once the one I detested the most, well until issue 51.
I dare say that Bill and Chris make a great team. I feel another top ten coming on. Maybe about the top ten New Mutant covers, at least to me. PM me what yours are.
This also has the "BS" signature and I think for this it works very well. It is signed in silver (my favorite) under the title. This was the second time in the New Mutants that the title was written on the cover. The first was with issue 18 entitled "Demon Bear"
