This comic was the most I spent for a non-key Signature series book. I do have a back up for it to get signed again since it is off-white to white pages, but part of me wonders should I bother. CBCS is starting a lot of talk and will i be able to get another seriesof 9.8 books by a third impartial grading company. Ah who am i kidding, I might get some CBCS books, but I will get more SS books from CGC.
In issue 62 Magma is no longer a member of the New Mutants. Her new affiliation is with the Hellions.Over he years there were "one color" covers that I liked. Tales to Astonish 98 is one of them, and this issue has to fall in with those parameters. The title might be written in white, but the cover is red.
On the inside though , the New Mutants are still recovering from the death of a teammate and Magma wonders if her feelings for Empath are real or illusionary. Louise was trying to create the same synergy Chris Claremont created in over fifty issues.
