Owner's Description
1:1 ratio cover. The colors on this cover are super light, airy, almost ethereal - which is in odd contrast to the subject material of dead giants and a vulture. I like it for the change of pace it offers. And I like Loprestri's line work. His Sonja is a long-legged warrior with a good, solid blade in each hand, although her gauntlets might be the most ridiculous thing ever designed, either that or her pauldrons. I'm not sure either is offering any protection, just the possibility of getting tangled up with the crosspieces on her blades or tied up with her long hair. Now her hair - it's glorious, long and detailed. Combined with her no-nonsense direct eye contact - yeah I believe she's a warrior and I believe she might just kick my ass because I looked at her funny. I gotta say, I think the vulture adds a lot to the final image. I tried imagining it without it, and there wasn't enough dark space to create any contrast.
Overall - as much as everything I said about the cover art is positive - the total is a little weak & static. She looks like a warrior, but the total composition doesn't do anything for me.
