I have two people to thank for this book!
First and foremost, Wardevil0. He specifically submitted this copy with both me and my big brother in mind, knowing that we were clamoring for the first 9.8 copies of it to finally rear their heads one day.
It is due to his generous spirit and thoughtfulness to others, that this book exists in it's current form. I can't begin to thank him enough for his efforts on someone else's behalf.
I hope that blessings come back on him ten fold! Thank you Wardevil0!!!!
The other person I wish to thank is, of course, my big brother, Tnerb! he made a promise to me a while back that if I was going after a New Mutants book, he would back off of bidding on it. Again, his generosity knows no bounds.
I still informed him of this copy once Wardevil0 presented it to me, to discuss what he and I wanted to do. Like the wonderful person my brother is, he simply said "you know how I feel about it." I love you big brother! :)
What a great bunch of collectors and friends we have here on the registry! For those who have been rooting us on with our New Mutants sets, thank you for your encouragement and support. For everyone who has actually had a direct hand in our acquisitions, of which there are many of you, I also say thank you!
There are only three more books to find for both me and my brother to complete our sets! Another 9.8 copy of this one for Tnerb, and two 9.8 copies of Annual #4.
I know I will be striving to find them, as I have been for the last six years. What's really interesting is that I will actually be more excited to find another copy of this one than I will finding the Annual #4. While I don't care who finds one for him, it would be great for me to be the one to find it and present it to him. It would be the least I could do for all he has done for me.
Anyway, I'll stop being all mushy now. :)
