Owner's Description
"Grey tone cover" noted on the CGC label. Purchased from a Comic Link auction 01/15. All the DC comics from 08/56 had the "exciting news! gigantic contest! 5000 prizes" banner on the tops of the covers (this would make an interesting subset hmmm)I can't quite figure out this cover ,..is the marine hanging on to a destroyed landing craft while the Jap boat is bearing down on him? either way this is an uncommon grey/wash tone cover from the set.
This was actually the final issue purchased to complete my set even though many will still need to be graded.
The final three issues were this one #49, then #23 (tough) and of course #1 (VERY TOUGH)
