The condition of this piece is very exceptional, well deserving of a 9.8. CGC label aside, I really enjoy the cover art, the colors complement each other and I like the drama of the exploding Krypton and the beams emitting from Superman's eyes. Jor-El and Lara make a rare Action Comics cover appearance, their first on the title since #440 (October 1975). The teaser of "rebirth" makes me curious about the story inside. I had different 9.8 example for this issue at one time but it had a slight cover miswrap by the DC bullet logo so I parted ways with it.
