Week 2: Looking Back at Tomorrow
This issue begins with Ralph Dibney at the gravesite of his Wife, investigating who spraypainted and inverted Superman symbol on the tombstone. Later in the issue it is revealed the symbol upright translated in Kryptonian means "hope". Inverted it means "resurrection". Ralph explains this during his conversation with Cassie Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), who has erected a shrine to her passed on love, Superboy, and has a webcam following on-line.
Due to Skeets having issues from the previous issue in accurately prognoticating current events from recorded events in the future, Booster Gold brings his robot buddy to Doc Magnus, creator of the Metal Men. Skeets is fixed-or is he? His glitches are explained in the last issue of the series!
The Question and Renee Montoya are formally introduced and hot on the trail of a secret organization described later.
I was listening to Nirvana while reading this issue and "About a Girl" is the track I remember playing while I read this issue.
Joe Bennett was on art this issue and Week 2 featured a History of the DC Universe back-up story (Part One) by Dan Jurgens and Art Thibert.
