A young architect is berated by his manager for presented blueprints that are far too extravagant. The young man quits in protest and presents his plans to Billy who loves them. Billy feels that the parks and playgrounds in his design would reduce crime. Billy offers to present the plans to the housing board but a competing architecture firm gets word of the competition. They send some thugs to take care of Billy and the architect and although Capt. Marvel sends them running they manage to grab the briefcase with the blueprints. The architect tries to draw a rough sketch for the director of housing but because of a knock on the head by the thugs all he can produce is a childish drawing. The architect is rejected and Cap decides to see if he can find the stolen plans.

Cap figures out the rival contractors were the thieves and snatches back the blueprints. He forces them to confess their crime to the housing director and the young architect is given the contract. Cap gathers all the materials needed for the construction and the World of Tomorrow is built.

A reporter arrives at Billy's office to interview him but find Billy putting a sign on his door that reads, 'Captain Marvel is Fired'. Billy closes his door and when it reopens Capt. Marvel marches out saying he's leaving for good. Headlines flash the news and the story steps back a few days. The owner of a rival radio station offers Billy a job at twice his salary but Billy orders the man out of his office. The next day Billy is doing his broadcast but his signal is jammed. Billy figures it's the rival radio station owner and decides to send Capt. Marvel to try and find the jamming transmitter by getting a job at WXW. The break up between Billy and Cap is a trick but the owner buys it and hires Marvel to do a radio broadcast.

Turns out the broadcast is one long attack of Billy Batson scripted by the angry owner. Cap is then ordered to kidnap Billy to force him to work for WXW. Billy manages to kidnap himself and has Mr. Morris tie him up for radio station owner to find. Billy is loosely gagged but when the owner dumps water on him it tightens up. Billy is literally hooked up to the radio jammer so the villain can jam the signal and electrocute Billy at the same time. The heat of the jammer dries the gag and Billy manages to transform and knock the crook for a loop.

Mr. Morris calls Billy into his office. His niece Ellen is coming to town and we wants Billy to keep her entertained. Ellen is some kind of hipster and ignores Billy completely. He changes to Capt Marvel which excites Ellen but she has him change into a hip suit. She brings him back to Mr. Morris's house where she hosts a loud party. The party moves to the Hotlix theater where Ellen swoons over a movie of a trumpet player. Cap takes her for a car ride to wake her up but for some strange reason some women believe she is being kidnapped and call the police. Ellen wakes up and hears the sirens and then bizarrely grabs the steering wheel with glee and drives right off a cliff. Cap flies Ellen out of the car and they watch it sink into quicksand. Cap notes the owner of the land and it turns out to be the man who is trying to sell Mr. Morris some property.

Cap flies to Mr. Morris's house and tells him not to sign the paper to buy the garbage land. The man tries to escape but Cap catches him. Marvel gives credit to Ellen for discovering the bad land and heads out leaving Ellen with Mr. Morris to Morris's chagrin.

"Indian Chief"
(Script) Otto Binder
(Pencils/Inks) Pete Costanza?

Billy is doing a report on the previously unexplored Hidden Valley Reservation which has been turned over to Native Americans. The city is very modern and it's residents are all dressed in modern suits and dresses. Suddenly the town is attacked by stereotypical horse riding Indians in headgear, shooting arrows. Billy transforms and punches out the Indian leader who turns out to be a white guy. Cap ponders the irony of a group of white savages attacking a modern city of Indians. He finds their village and it's an old time Indian village that looks about 200 years from the past. It appears to be a legit Indian village of Caucasians. It turns out they were settlers who became lost several hundred years ago and adopted the ways of the Indians.

The daughter of Chief Crooked Jaw wants to adopt modern ways but her father won't allow it. However, if someone can defeat the chief in three contests they become chief. Capt Marvel takes up the challenge. Unsurprisingly he wins the first two without breaking a sweat but when the chief demonstrates that he can create fire Cap shows he can create lightning and changes back to Billy. The Indians immediately capture and bind Billy. The chief moves to chop his head off when his daughter moves to save him in shades of Pocahontas. Billy is able to pull down his gag and transform. For a second time Capt Marvel punches out the chief and takes his place as the new Indian Chief. He moves all the white Indians to a modern town and even the chief is thrilled by the modern technology.
