I purchased this book raw for $3.75 at Aamazing Fantasy Comics in Littleton, Colorado, a shop I heard about on the CGC Collectors Society forum. The shop is actually 65 miles away from me, I was in the area visiting some childhood friends and decided to check it out on the way. A large collection of high grade DCs had just been acquired and I picked out several books. I submitted this along with Action Comics #685 Second Printing (also from Aamazing Fantasy) for grading at the 2016 Denver Comic. This book carries several good memories, starting with my visit with childhood friends, then going to the Denver Comic Con for the first time, and being part of my first submission to return with 9.8 grades.

had a few copies of this fourth printing that came from various collector's packs I found at Toys "R" Us when I was 11 or 12. One pack I had contained the seven issues that made up "Doomsday,” the first part of the Death and Return of Superman saga. The flimsy cardboard box these issues came in had a large window displaying the cover of the 4th printing to Superman #75.

Story continued in Adventures of Superman #498 (1/93).
