Gardenstate Comic Fest 2024
As I was already picking up a at home commission from Darren, I originally planned on skipping this round to get a new sketch as my CGC # of slabs was my record as it was.
There had been a few cancellations amongst celebrities and a last minute one came. Brian Bonsai the kid from Blank Check (a 1990's Disney Movie) I loved that movie as a kid and feverishly the night before as it was literally a announcement the night before to try and find my VHS copy but it must had been purged years ago.
So throwing off my planned what do get done list and putting a few books back into my backpack for a future show, I commissioned Darren to draw Rocko as the kid from the VHS cover and had him leave a blank check background for Brian Bonsai to sign.
As I had to request Brian Bonsai to be added to the CGC signature request list it leads me to believe that this is his first book signed for signature series!
Brian was really fan appreciative and I was glad to meet him.
