CGC Offers Signature Series Opportunity at Free Comic Book Day

Free Comic Book Day is here again, or almost. It's the first Saturday in May every year, which this year falls on May 2, 2009. In celebration, Yancy Street Comics in New Port Richey, FL is hosting a huge special event with a number of comic book creators signing and sketching. CGC will be in attendance once again to witness all signings for the prestigious CGC Signature Series, and certification submissions will be accepted on site. In addition, CGC will be taking submissions in advance for Signature Series at this event! If you cannot attend this event you will have the opportunity to submit your comics directly to CGC in advance for witnessing at this event and then grading under the Signature Series program. You will need to fill out a submission form and a copy of the form below to submit with your comics for this event. Books must be received by April 29, 2009. Signings are scheduled from 11 am to 3 pm, and a number of accomplished creators will be on hand :

In addition to this event, Yancy Street is also having their Annual Spring Cleaning Sale that weekend, with everything in the store being discounted Friday through Sunday. So, pick up some books to be signed or fill in the gaps in your collection!

On Free Comic Book Day, participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books for free to anyone who comes into their stores. This event celebrates the independent comic book specialty stores, and their unique character and role within their communities.
