June ComicLink Golden Age CGC’d Focused Auction Starts Soon

Items in ComicLink’s CGC Golden Age Focused Auction (which starts Sunday, June 18th and ends on the 28th/29th of June) are of extremely high quality. The auction opens with comic books from the Simon Powell collection (the Simon Powell books have no reserve). Included in the Simon Powell collection are a number of killer ultra high-grade CGC’d EC Gaines File copies that have not seen the light of day for a very long time. The first Haunt of Fear issue is a 9.6! Haunt of Fear #15 and Vault of Horror #20 are 9.8’s! There are quite a few of these special Gaines File copies in the auction ranging from 9.0 to 9.6.

Gaines copies aside, nearly every other book in the ComicLink auction is also a highlight. There is a range of publishers, titles, years and key issues represented in the auction. Examples of CGC’d key issues: Captain America Comics #1 4.5 (1st Cap!), Batman #1 1.0, All Star Comics #8 4.5 (1st Wonder Woman), Sensation Comics #1 5.5, All-American #25 6.5 (highest grade!), All-Select Comics #1 6.5, Captain Marvel Jr. #1 8.5, Detective Comics #30 8.5 (8.5!), #38 6.5 (1st Robin), Sub-Mariner Comics #1 7.0, Green Lantern #1, Mad #1. Other notables include 9.2-9.6 Scarce Golden Age DC’s, Marvel Mystery #59 CGC 9.4 San Francisco, a few Mile High’s, Schomburg, Frazetta and Baker Covers, Horror issues, Timelys, Crime issues, early Golden Age Scarcities, high-grade pre-hero Atlas, and more! The auction also includes CGC’d early Action, All Star, Batman, Detective, Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash Comics issues, most of which are in mid to high-grade. In addition there are a myriad of esoteric desirables such as classic covers Brenda Starr #14, Spirit #22, Lawbreakers Suspense Stories #15, Master Comics #23, National Comics #16, Rangers Comics #14. There is truly something for every Golden Age collector in this auction.
