CGC Celebrates 8-Year Anniversary!

Posted on 1/4/2008

Today after eight years and certifying over one million comic books CGC is celebrating this 8th year in business. The company officially opened their doors on January 4, 2000 in Parsippany, New Jersey. The company grew due to consumer demands and moved to a new location in Sarasota, Florida in 2002.

CGC has not only certified to date over one million comic books but has also supports the hobby by contributing to non-profit organizations as major contributors to The Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. They host collector dinners at numerous major conventions, offer free population report data, as well as hosting the hobby’s most visited and knowledgeable chat board forum.

“The New Year has started and it is our busiest January ever,” said CGC President and Primary Grader Steve Borock. “Thanks to those of you, who have supported us, sent in submissions and made positive suggestions which helped to shape our business. We could not have done this without the widespread support we get from the community in our great hobby. I and all the people at CGC are honored in the trust you have placed in us and feel privileged to be able to help safeguard our hobby and keep our market strong. On a personal note; I would like to thank all the people at CGC who have worked so hard. By putting in many, many long hours, and personal dedication to make this anniversary possible.”
