Set Description:

Update - 1/13/2022: The year started off nicely! In an eBay auction, I was able to upgrade my Aquaman #32 to a 9.4 with WHITE pages from an 8.5 previously.

Update - 1/15/2022: A few days later, I acquired an Aquaman #3, graded 9.4 with WHITE pages, in an eBay auction, just a few seconds after I missed out on a book graded 9.6 with WHITE pages in a Heritage auction where a new record price was set by a mile. This was bitter sweet but there are so few books at these high grades that I didn't want to miss my chance to own one of the top copies.

Update - 4/10/2022: A couple of nice books were available on Heritage today. I managed to upgrade my copy of Aquaman #50 from a 9.2 W to a 9.8 W from the Oregon Coast Collection. Unfortunately, the bidding was fierce on Aquaman #54 9.6 W, also from the Oregon Coast Collection, and I decided to wait for a better opportunity even though this is a rare book to find.

Update - 11/03/2022: I purchased a few raw copies, specifically #58,59, 60, 62. eBay sellers are asking too much for graded copies and I took a chance with raw books. Grades came back, all 9.0 or better, but not as good as I expected. Still need to sharpen my grading skills!

Update - 1/19/2023: A few more raw books came back graded from CGC, specifically #49 and 53. I didn't expect these to get top grades, or white pages for that matter, but I was getting impatient with the auction prices, which I still think are inflated. So I took a chance on raw copies at very low prices, though perhaps I should have bought the books in person rather than online, to better inspect them.

Update - 11/28/2023: Bought a 1 of 2 ultra rare books on a Comic Link auction. And it had WHITE pages as a cherry on top. Glad I managed to get this one, as it's so rare to see this book come on sale.

Update - 12/11/2023: Purchased Aquaman #53 from CollectorsComics with 9.6 grade and WHITE pages to upgrade a previous copy graded 6.5 with OFF-WHITE TO WHITE pages. The book had been listed on the marketplace and for more than a year, but the asking price was higher than I wanted to pay. I was able to come to an agreement with the seller at a more reasonable level for this 1 of 7 top graded copy.

Update - 6/18/2024: Purchased Aquaman #56 from Comic Link with 9.6 grade and WHITE pages. With only 3 copies graded in 9.8, I'm pretty happy with having acquired this copy for less than $200.

Update - 6/25/2024: Purchased #60 to upgrade my set slightly with a 9.2 grade and WHITE pages. As well, I added issue #63, which I was missing, graded 9.4 with WHITE pages. This is the last book in the series and has appearances of Aqualad and Ocean Master. Despite a slight spine roll, I jumped on it to fill in my set. As a bonus, both come with the highly sought Mark Jewelers insert. This Comic Link auction had an entire series of those inserts, but unfortunately, I was only successful in these two auctions as I refused to get aggressive on my bidding.

Update - 7/05/2024: Purchased Aquaman #57 from Comic Link with 9.4 grade and WHITE pages. The book has a very slight spine roll. I usually don't target those, but I couldn't resist. This is an old CGC label and could potentially re-grade higher. On top of that it's a Black Manta appearance in the first return issue after almost 8 years. I'll eventually upgrade, but with very sparse bidding, this price was simply to low to avoid a bid.

Sorry, the details of this set are not available at this time.
