Set Description:

All Universal blue. Had I stopped collecting here I'd be so much richer and have more space.
I had actually stopped collecting comics around this point in the mid nineties right around time I discovered girls and began focusing on higher education and career aspirations. I likely would have ceased collecting altogether and never continued on had it not been for my wife and the chance occasion of eating lunch near the comic shop that she bought me a spider-man tumbler glass and on free comicbook day no less. I could have avoided it. I could have ignored it. I could have even just drove by and kept on driving except that I didn't. I stopped and dove right into each long box they had out front and before I knew it I had a stack of Amazing Spider-Man back issues from this run to the current run at the time.
From there it was a trickle effect of responding to ads in craigslist to ebay and other online stores and even out to some local conventions. Before long, I was fully immersed into the hobby and within the span of a month caught up on the last 15 years of the industry including CGC, variants, newsstands, and all the craziness that comes with it. Alas, I did not stop collecting but managed to obtain a full run of raw ASM from AF15 to 700 and now have a near complete graded set. I keep most of the run from 1-200 ungraded as I like to read the original copies, enjoy their smell, the feel, all while listening to music from each issue's era.

I think I'm happy I didn't stop collecting.
