Not long after happily cashing out my 1st print copies during the speculation boom of 2020s, I realized I could not live without these great issues in my collection!
I decided that to rebuild my collection I would focus on the 2nd print editions! This decision was not only a financial one, as buying back the first print of issue one was now far out of my budget, but also a nostalgic one; The cover art from issue four was a big part of my childhood, as it ordained the box art for the original Nintendo game, as well as the portable Konami handheld LCD game I carried everywhere. The art from this cover alone stands out as perhaps one of the most iconic turtle images of all time, and will remain permanently seared into my memory long after I have even forgotten the names of family members in my old age. |
