Set Description:
The definitive Maxx set. I set out to complete a SS set of the Maxx, and in Aug of 2016 in Boston I met long time favorite artist Sam Kieth and completed this amazing run. Made up of personal copies pulled from the newsstand and copied procured online, I picked the best I could find to submit. None of the copies are pressed and each handled personally by Sam Kieth. I was honored to have met and chatted with the legend. While the experience at the con wasn't the best, being able to meet and have Sam go through each issue with myself, it was a great experience. The lower grades on the 18 and 19 were due to Albert Moy and associate thumbing through the artwork first hand. As I said, none were pressed. Recently Sam has passed and we lost a great artist in the community, I share heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, including those in the trade. He was an eccentric and was loved dearly for it. He will be missed.
