Set Description:
A new comics company called Valiant launched their first title in May 1991 with little fanfare or notice but the company systematically began building a "universe" based on consistently nice art, well-written stories and tight continuity. The Valiant formula proved successful, catapulting them into the top ranks of comic publishing within two years. This group of 53 books (not including a couple variants) remains one of the finest comic runs ever published.
My own Valiant collection had been sitting in long-boxes nearly forgotten until I joined the Boards at valiantfans.com and was reminded why I loved them so much when they first came out. I set a goal to complete the first set entirely in 9.8 or better condition...and I succeeded! Most of the books in this run came from my personal collection but I couldn't have finished this set without the help of long-time Valiant fans Valiantman, Rico, Shin and Trent Collins. Thanks guys!
I hope the current relaunch of Valiant comics introduces a new generation of fans to these great stories as well as creating a whole new set of stories for all of us.
